49ers Legend Joe Montana Names Dolphins Icon Dan Marino as Best QB in NFL History

Joe Montana, a four-time Super Bowl champion, stated in an exclusive interview with Keith Nelson of Men's Health

that he thought Dan Marino was the greatest quarterback to ever play the game.

He released the ball quickly. Montana said of Marino, "I had to step into a lot of stuff to get enough [force] on the ball.

He has the ideal upper body torque and strength to deliver the ball accurately and rapidly at a fast release.

In this instance, Nelson outlined the distinction between greatest and finest.

But there's a difference between "greatest" and "best," Nelson wrote, and Montana believes the latter title doesn't belong to him.

"The title of best QB refers to individual talent, whereas the title of greatest QB typically refers to career accomplishments."

There is no questioning Marino's incredible talent, despite the fact that he doesn't have the career accomplishments that other quarterbacks do.
