A setback by the Marlins has MLB Insider fearing the end for the $280,000,000 Yankees.

After that humiliating loss to the Miami Marlins, it seemed like the New York Yankees had hit rock bottom.

The elimination of the playoffs has been widely acknowledged, both by famous people and media experts.

In the bottom of the ninth inning, the Yankees let the Marlins come back and win the game after having a six-run lead.

With Luis Arraez at the helm and a strong lineup supporting him, his team has a real shot at making it to the World Series.

The offense of the much-maligned hot and chilly lineup was saved by home runs by Anthony Volpe and Ben Rortverdt.

Gerritt Cole, an All-Star starter, allowed just two runs in six innings and had another strong outing.

But in the ninth inning, both closers, Clay Holmes and Tommy Kahnle, had trouble getting the job done.

With the bases loaded and no outs, Holmes allowed the winning runs to score, giving the victory to Jake Burger.
