Car tragedy in Atlanta kills Eagles Hall of Famer's son Hugh Douglas.

Hugh Douglas, a former Philadelphia Eagles defensive lineman, is mourning the death of his son, who died in a car accident near Atlanta earlier this week.

Hugh Douglas' son Hugh was killed in a single-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in East Point, Georgia, according to Morehouse College. 

Hugh and his roommate Christion Files Jr. both graduated from Morehouse College in 2025.

A Georgia State Patrol representative verified that a vehicle collided with a power pole and overturned, killing the two people inside.

 Douglas was a member of the Morehouse Business Association, according to a statement from the school.

He was a Goldman Sachs fellow as well.Files Jr. was also a member of the Morehouse Business Association and a business administration major.
