Colorado coach Deion Sanders discussed two-way sensation Travis Hunter after a thrilling win against Colorado State.
Hunter left the game injured in the first half and was hospitalized.Although Hunter returned to the field after a late and severe hit,
he was not well enough to play after locker room evaluation. Initially, the injury was unclear.Sanders said Hunter won't play for two weeks or so.
“I think coach Ray is going to the hospital to check him out,” Sanders said postgame. “First, I heard he would miss a few weeks. I definitely heard that.
“But we’ll take care of him. Travis is like a book to me. He may wish to miss two weeks, but his health is more important than this game.”
A pass interference flag on the defender prevented Hunter from catching a Shedeur Sanders throw on a go route down
the left sideline in the first half of the 43-35 double OT win. However, Henry Blackburn struck hard as the ball fell in front of Hunter.
Hunter stayed sidelined after a fight. Colorado responded promptly to tie the game at 14 with Sanders' long touchdown pass,
