Los Angeles police said that Dodgers starter Julio Urías was detained late Sunday night for felony domestic abuse, according to ESPN.
This is Urías' second domestic violence arrest in four years.
Jail records show the 27-year-old was detained at 11 p.m. and put into jail around 1 a.m.
Urías was released on $50,000 bond and has a Sept. 27 court date.
"We are aware of an incident involving Julio Urías," stated the Dodgers. "
"He will not travel with the squad while we investigate. The organization has no additional comment."
The MLB informed ESPN that it is investigating Urías's situation.
League players charged with domestic abuse are often placed on administrative leave while the inquiry continues.
MLB acted similarly with Urías in 2019 after his arrest for domestic assault.
He was not charged, but MLB suspended him for 20 games for domestic violence.
