Eating a hearty meal before a workout does not aid in weight loss.

Even though breakfast is the most crucial meal of the day, a recent study suggests that it shouldn't also be the largest.

According to Scottish researchers, front-loading all your calories by eating a large breakfast does not lead to more weight loss.

Researchers discovered this method of reducing caloric intake had no effect on metabolic rate.

The findings call into question the long-held idea that starting the day with a large meal increases calorie expenditure throughout the rest of the day.

An old diet adage advises dieters to "breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dine like a pauper"

However, the study shows that it makes no difference whether we eat our largest meal of the day at breakfast, lunch,

or dinner since our bodies handle the calories in the same way regardless of which meal we choose.

Those who made breakfast their main meal of the day dropped an extra seven pounds in a month, while those who ate most of their calories at night lost the same amount.
