Final 2023 53-man roster projection for the Buffalo Bills

Buffalo Bills 2023 NFL preseason is over.

After defeating the Chicago Bears 24-21 in the exhibition finale, the Bills enter the regular season. To start, roster cutbacks.

Head coach Sean McDermott proclaimed a backup QB competition… nobody stepped up, so we're wondering whether the Bills will try to hire someone outside. Buffalo wanted Trey Lance, so they attempted that.

Kyle Allen stays for this projection. Instead of being inconsistent, Barkley has an elbow ailment.

After signing last week, Ty Johnson and Evans had a strong preseason, but it was likely too late. Harris's Chicago debut revealed the Bills' interest. Harris scored a TD.

Although this number is small, Gilliam can help in a pinch. Since Sternberger and/or Wilson's only summer highlight was their fumble against the Colts, this one is easy to project.

Clearly on the fence is Isabella. Shorter, a fifth-round rookie, always made the squad.

But Isabella dropped the ball against the Bears. Isabella's practice squad spot is likely.
