Is Maple Water the Best Drink for Weight Loss?

Before the sap from Maple trees is boiled down to make pancake syrup, it is much thinner and not as sweet.

And just recently, a few companies started pasteurizing and bottling it.

They call it "maple water," which is an apt name. It's about the same as water, but it's a bit thicker and has a hint of maple sweetness.

A 16-ounce bottle has about six grams of sugar and up to 66 percent of the day's manganese,

which protects against disease-causing free radicals, joint damage, and inflammation.

Even though our muscles need some inflammation to heal after a workout, too much inflammation can break down good muscle mass and slow down metabolism.
