Some Las Vegas Raiders supporters have already given up on Josh McDaniels after the team fell to 2-5 after a 24-0 loss to the New Orleans Saints.
However, owner Mark Davis is not among those screaming for the first-year head coach to be fired.
According to Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Davis claimed that McDaniels will be his head coach "for years to come."
This offseason, the former New England Patriots offensive coordinator got a four-year contract extension.
McDaniels is unpopular among Raiders fans. Some understand giving him time, while others appear to have seen enough.
Fans may be ready for a change, but Davis is unlikely to abandon his new hire so quickly.
The Raiders had not lost by more than six scores before a dreadful Week 8 performance that quarterback Derek Carr described as "embarrassing."
Their next three opponents, beginning with the 2-6 Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, are all losers. The Raiders have a chance to comeback, but more losses may put Davis' patience to the test.
