NBA star James Harden didn't mince words when it came to Philadelphia 76ers president Daryl Morey. Harden vented his dissatisfaction publicly, labeling Morey a "liar."
During an Adidas press event in China, Harden was asked about the team's attempt to halt trade talks and bring him back, and he said,
"Daryl Morey is a liar, and I will never be a part of an organization that he's a part of."
Despite Harden's strong desire for a trade, the 76ers elected to cease negotiations in order to protect their championship hopes, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The 76ers had hoped that James Harden and Joel Embiid would propel them to the Eastern Conference Finals, but they have been eliminated from the playoffs on several times.
Harden's performance has improved since leaving the Houston Rockets, with good stats when playing with Kevin Durant and now Embiid.
Despite his desire for a trade, the 76ers are leery about damaging their chances of winning the NBA championship.
Harden, surprisingly, elected to remain under his existing contract for the upcoming season, which is worth $35.6 million. T
