Rob Waldrop and Nick Foles as honorary captains, 2023 college football rule revisions, and more.
Since taking over the program, Arizona head coach Jedd Fisch has prioritized welcoming back former players and UA alumni to tie the present Wildcats football team to the past.
Fisch added honorary captains to every regular-season home game and turned Arizona's spring game into alumni weekend.
Rob Gronkowski, Lance Briggs, Ortege Jenkins, Ka'Deem Carey, Brooks Reed, Willie Tuitama, and Scooby Wright are notables.
In Fisch's home debut, Steve Kerr, Golden State Warriors head coach, was an honorary captain and led the "Wildcat Walk".
"I feel very strongly on it," Fisch said. It's crucial to our tradition-building. Since I've been here, we try our hardest to make honorary captains a special team."
